Management Trainee Scheme
Our Management Trainee Scheme aims to give individuals a rounded knowledge of all aspects of the company, immersing them in each department so they understand the role of each individual within the project team.
About the Scheme
We are keen to source confident individuals with a strong desire to work within the construction industry in any of the above disciplines on projects in the Bedford, Cambridge and Oxford areas.
Management Trainees will be involved in a variety of projects, at all stages from inception through to completion so they appreciate the lifecycle of a project and the importance of our ethos of working collaboratively with the Client team throughout the development and construction processes.
We see our Management Trainees as being the future of the business so we aim to provide training and support to enable them to succeed within their chosen field.
Successful candidates will have a bespoke training plan, the duration of which will vary between 12 months and 3 years depending upon qualifications and previous experience. All training plans will provide exposure to all the different disciplines within SDC with the opportunity to gain real experience on live projects.
Opportunities will be made available to the right candidates to attend a part-time construction related academic course if not already qualified. This would be fully funded by the company.
In addition to any academic training there will be structured in-house training which will include regular Management Trainee Forums. These provide the opportunity to network with other Trainees, and to be kept up to date regarding the operations of the company as a whole.
The training programme allows you to thrive and realise your potential in your chosen discipline with your career development personally overseen by one of the Board Directors.
Ideally, candidates should be qualified to A Level standard. Applicants who are already undertaking or are considering enrolling on to a construction related qualification will also be welcomed.
