Accounts Assistant

SDC is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within the Accounts team. The role will be based at the Head Office in Bedford.

The role is varied and requires a positive, proactive person who can work well within a team. Full training will be given as necessary.


  • Sales ledger: credit control, raising invoices.
  • Assisting with our weekly payroll. Compiling reports as required.
  • Assisting with our subcontractor payments.
  • General administration and assisting other members of the department as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of working within an accounts office is desired.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Experience of using MS Office.


  • AAT Level 2 qualified (preferred but not essential).
  • Maths GCSE Grade C or above.
