The Creative Exchange - British Construction Industry Award Winner
The British Construction Industry Awards took place in London and SDC are proud to announce that The Creative Exchange in St Neots won the category for best Local Authority building.
The BCI Awards are not a design competition, while excellence of architecture or engineering are factors, these Awards are all embracing with the judges considering many aspects from procurement, performance against prediction, quality of design and construction, safety, innovation, sustainability, usability and benefit to the community.
The Creative Exchange is a new local landmark for St Neots resulting from a visionary concept. The judges said that "The Creative Exchange is an economic building in which resources were spent where it mattered, with intelligent use of materials, what could have been a conventional, mundane building has made best use of its location to inspire creativity".
