Retrofit for the Future
Houses in the UK accounts for 27% of carbon emissions and more than 60% of the houses we will be living in in 2050 have already been built. To meet the Government's target of an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050, we must dramatically improve the performance of existing housing stock.
SDC are looking to find solutions by taking the 'Retrofit for the Future' challenge launched by The Technology Strategy Board to provide high performance solutions to dramatically improve the energy efficiency of houses.
The social housing sector includes over 4.5 million homes in the UK, SDC will be working with an impressive team of partners including registered social landlord Aragon Housing Association who have more than 6500 housing units in this area. SDC has risen to the challenge to dramatically improve the energy efficiency of houses.
