50 children from St Gregory's Catholic Primary School in Northampton were delighted to welcome Ivor Goodsite, the Considerate Constructors Scheme mascot to their school on 17th March. Site Manager Martin Chalkley told the children that building sites are not playgrounds for children and explained the jobs that the construction workers are doing on site.
The children then put on their personal protective equipment and visited the construction site and were shown the different types of mechanical plant, getting close to the Tower cranes was very exciting for the children as they can see the cranes from their school.
The children are keen to make a return visit when the construction work is complete and who knows in the future they could be students at Northampton College and will enjoy the facilities that are being constructed.
