Children Meet Ivor Goodsite

Thirty pre-school children from Kids Unlimited in Long Road, Cambridge were invited to the Addenbrookes Hospital site by Site Manager Phil Lawson for a look at the building work currently being undertaken to construct 290 hospital accommodation units in four new blocks on the site of this very busy operational hospital complex.  The children donned their protective clothing and hats for the visit and were delighted to see a visit on site from Ivor Goodsite.  Ivor is a costumed character and industry mascot developed by the Considerate Constuctors Scheme to promote all that is positive about the UK construction industry to a young audience.  Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor Ray Charter was on hand to tell the children about the machinery on site and about health and safety on building sites.
