Our Alma Road site in Peterborough take safety very seriously
and as such a presentation was organised for 240 pupils at the All
Saints Junior School, for students aged between 7 and 11.
Ray Charter and Erich Debnam from the SDC SHE dept were happy to demonstrate the lengths SDC strive to achieve in order to make going to work safe for all.
This presentation demonstrated how dangerous construction sites can be and why children should not see them as playgrounds. A discussion about what PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is and does explained simply made the children aware of what could be considered dangerous to themselves and others.
Head Teacher, Mrs Hutchinson was very grateful for Ray and Erich's time and effort and thought such a serious subject was handled with fun and care.
We believe safety to be number one priority, no matter what the age!
